This qualitative descriptive study was designed to examine the usage of herbal remedies by pregnant women. The goal was to create awareness about the types of herbal remedies that were being utilized by pregnant women and what women experienced while taking these herbal remedies. A questionnaire containing nine questions was developed to gather the data. Of the returned questionnaires, twenty percent met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that there were a variety of herbal remedies used individually and together. Reasons for use varied from preparing the body to conceive to turning a breech baby. Sixty nine percent of the women did not feel it necessary to inform their care provider that they were using herbal remedies during the pregnancy.
